species:
Some species from the Amazon rain forest live in other places of the world too. Take ants for example. they live in most all places of the world including Florida. Red deer live in Florida also. Armadillos live in the great planes and places like Australia. Mosquitoes can be found all over the world in all corners of the earth except perhaps Antarctica. Manatees live in the ocean near Florida and off the coast, also in the Florida Everglades. Now for the trees. Mangroves live in the Florida Everglades along with the manatees.
Communities:
How do these organisms interact? The plants in the Amazon rain forest get energy from the sun. The trees, like the acacia, rubber, and mangroves are at the top of their food chain. Very small animals, like ants, get their energy from eating the leaves that have fallen to the ground or off of some bushes. The frogs, fish, and anteaters eat those plants. The sloths, kinkajous, snakes, and frogs eat those small animals. The river otters eat clams off of the river bottom, getting their energy from eating underwater plants, who got their energy in turn from the sun. Jaguars, Houmas, and other large animals eat The birds, snakes and other smaller animals. The large manatees eat only seagrass, getting its energy from the sun. The bridal veil stinkhorn fungus is not eaten by anything but humans, and gets its energy from the sun. The birds eat the berrys and fish. Because of a bird's ability to fly, sharp talons, and a beak, they're the top of the food chain. The Jaguars, crocodiles, and other large animals eat the Deer, fish, tapirs, and other secondary consumers. They are also a top consumer. Probably The most dangerous animal in the rain forest is the poison dart frog. Those frogs eat poisonous ants, not getting hurt by their poison, but instead making them stronger. When any other animal tries to eat them, the frog gives off some poison, Almost immediately killing its attacker. This way it is the extreme top predator in the rain forest.
the ecosystem
how do these animals interact with their abiotic factors?
The plants in the rain Forest grow with sunlight although too much rain ( the 9 feet of rain per year ) could drown the plant. When the temperature gets too high the animals can dehydrate, and the water can dry out. When there is a lot of rain, The rain forest floor will flood, Causing the animals that live at ground level or in underground dens to lose their homes.
